Friedrich Nietzsche famously said, “Without music, life would be a mistake.” In 2025, we’d like to add to that: “Without music and friends, life would be a mistake.” The magic of music lies in its ability to connect us—with friends, culture, and shared experiences. But in today's hyper-algorithmic, always-online world, that sense of genuine connection with the music we love has faded. It’s time to bring it back by simply asking the question: “What are my friends listening to?” Circles seeks to answer that question, and to rediscover the joy of music through the people who matter most. Algorithms know you well, but your friends know you better.
